Believe it or not, we started as a wedding planning service....

Shortly after her wedding, Organized Planet's founder was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and decided to put her years of marketing, public relations and event management experience to work by opening an event planning service. It was during the set-up of the business that her husband's job relocated him, and they left the bright lights of Dallas for a small rural town in eastern Ohio. Since she was unfamiliar with the new market, the event planning business was put on hold. Instead, she designed an organizational binder for women to use when planning their weddings. The Bridal Binder features tabbed sections for all aspects of a wedding, checklists and other planning tools. While developing the Bridal Binder, she came up with the idea for calendar stickers for brides-to-be to use to keep track of all the tasks and appointments involved in planning their weddings, and CalenDots were born. Shortly after developing Bridal CalenDots, the concept was expanded to include other events, such as pregnancy, college life and moving. Soon, Organized Planet had a full line of calendar sticker products for everything from general, day-to-day activities to special events. Currently the company sells more than 15 varieties of CalenDots through its website and on-line store. More organizational products are on the way, and the company is continually establishing retail distribution through boutique, specialty stores and on-line retailers.
